About FFCG
After a personal encounter with infertility, numerous conversations with women who experienced fertility challenges and miscarriages and who decided to postpone pregnancy
for whatever reason, recognizing women were suffering in silence and unable to find a space to have safe conversations regarding infertility with family friends or at church; and realizing the Black community did not having real talk about infertility and reproductive health, Rev. Dr. Stacey L. Edwards-Dunn gave birth to the National Organization for Black women and couples struggling with infertility, miscarriages and loss, Fertility for Colored Girls (FFCG), NFP.
Born in March of 2013, FFCG seeks to provide education, awareness, support, and encouragement to African American women/ couples and other women of color experiencing infertility and seeking to build the families of their dreams. Additionally, FFCG seeks to empower African American women to take charge of their fertility and reproductive health.
Since its inception, Fertility for Colored Girls has grown by leaps and bounds. The organization currently has sixteen chapters in the United States as well as an international reach. In addition, in 2023, due to both the demand and need to provide support for Black Men and fertility, FFCG expanded their work to meet the needs of Black men and Reproductive Health as well as those who might be supporting a significant other on the journey.
